Learn from this district about:

Renewal School System: Rowan-Salisbury is making history by becoming the first and only district in NC to be designated as a Renewal School System. RSS is leading the state in developing and piloting innovative, new designs and processes for the success of our students.

Offer a Diversity course: This course provides scholars with the opportunity to explore social topics in which they work together to create a solution for an inequity they have identified in their community.

Liberatory Design Project: In partnership with the Friday Institute for Innovation in Education, the design team works to identify a problem of practice to design a framework to improve student learning outcomes equitably. The annual project is designed to focus on grade levels.

Next Generation Learning Challenges Project (NGLC): The goal is to enable Transformation Design to tackle our own current highest-priority challenges(s) thoughtfully and effectively, with reference to the new approaches to catalyzing productive change that we’ve built together to ensure we are serving every scholar equitably and providing access to every scholar.
